Adventure to Annapurna Base Camp Hiking Tour

In collaboration with Last Frontiers, a Nepalese trekking company celebrating their 40th year, come hike through the awe-inspiring and breathtaking Himalayas, a must-do destination for nature lovers!

Breathe Deep. Trek Boldly. Experience the Soul of the Himalayas.

Take in some of the purest air on Earth and immerse yourself in landscapes so stunning they feel unreal. This is more than a trek—it’s a journey into vitality.

In 1950, Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal became the first to summit Annapurna, the first 8,000-meter peak ever climbed. In 1978, Arlene Blum led the first all-women and American ascent. Currently, only 478 people have stood at its summit.  You won’t climb to the top—but you will walk in the footsteps of legends.

Your trek to Annapurna Base Camp will lead you through ancient jungles, terraced meadows, peaceful villages, and jaw-dropping Himalayan vistas. These quieter trails invite a deeper connection—to culture, nature, and yourself.

Each night, you’ll rest in welcoming tea houses, where tradition and warmth provide comfort after a rewarding day on the trail.

The Adventure to Annapurna Base Camp Hiking Tour is a completely different experience from the Annapurna Circuit. In fact—did you know the famous Circuit never even goes to Annapurna Base Camp?

Ours does.

Our route is a one-of-a-kind journey, designed in collaboration with seasoned local Nepalese guides and the Head Guide of Vitality Active Travel. It blends expert knowledge, cultural connection, and stunning trails to create a trek you won’t find in any standard itinerary.

This journey is best suited for those with an adventurous spirit and a good base of fitness—but it’s not a race. With some preparation, it’s a deeply fulfilling experience that’s as enjoyable as it is inspiring.

Ready to experience something truly unforgettable?

Namaste and welcome to vibrant Kathmandu.

Our trip begins today in Kathmandu, Nepal.  The day is yours to relax and enjoy before our evening trip orientation.

02

Explore the Kathmandu Valley's most fascinating sites.

Enjoy a morning touring ancient cities and UNESCO world heritage highlights of the Kathmandu Valley (Swayambhu, Kathmandu Durbar Square) and take a short, late afternoon flight to Pokhara. Pokhara – drive to Ghandruk

Our trek begins with a drive to the terraced mountainsides of Ghandruk.

After an early breakfast, we drive to Syauli Bazar, a small Gurung settlement and the starting point of our trek. From here, the trail climbs steadily through terraced rice fields and farmland. Along the trail, we’ll hear the melodic bells of mule trains long before we see them. We may even spot Rhesus macaque in the alder forest. We’ll pass through small villages, open fields, and forests and be rewarded with bright mountain views like Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Ganggapurna.

Our destination tonight is the village of Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a truly picturesque traditional Gurung settlement with breathtaking views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. As we depart Ghandruk, we walk on a dirt road before turning onto a trail that eventually takes us to the top of Kimrong Danda, a small ridgetop settlement. Here, we soak in the spectacular views of Machhapuchhre and gaze down at Ghandruk village, seeing the distance we traveled. After a short break, we descend on the trail to Kimrong Khola River and cross a wooden bridge before heading upwards again to the next ridge.
